# Tutorial

## Add badges to existing autodoc

Start with the autodoc directives your API page already uses. Existing
{rst:dir}`sphinx:autofunction`, {rst:dir}`sphinx:autoclass`, and
{rst:dir}`sphinx:automodule` entries automatically receive badges when the
extension is loaded.

Render one function:
